Using the Computer-Based Exam
Mark answers by touching the exam computer screen. The question count and time appear on screen; you are responsible for tracking the time. At the end, sign the room attendance list and your answer document before leaving.
Booking an e-Sınav Appointment
- Complete theory training and confirm your eligibility with the school.
- Pay the exam fee through MEB payment channels.
- Follow up your school’s application through the Private MTSK Module and its approval status.
- Collect the photo entry document for the approved appointment; check your identity details, centre, date and time.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes early with valid identification and the entry document.
The system assigns the date and time for an approved application. Do not treat a waiting time or a particular session as guaranteed; ask your school for the current status.
Following Your Application Through MEBBİS
After you pay the exam fee, your registered driving school submits the application through the Private MTSK Module. The provincial or district education directorate checks the details and photograph; the system assigns a date and time once the application is approved.
- Ask your school whether the application has been approved.
- Check your identity details, centre, date and time on the entry document.
- If you need a foreign-language option or sign-language support, follow up the 48-hour registration requirement with your school.
Entry and Exam Room Rules
- Arrive at least 30 minutes early for identity checks and seating.
- Bring valid identification and the photo entry document issued for this session; check the signature/stamp conditions for your ID type with the school.
- Do not bring a phone, any type of watch, headphones, a bag or other prohibited items. See section 7/d of the guide for the full list and medical-device/medicine exceptions.
- If the name or ID number on screen is not yours, tell an invigilator before starting.
- Follow staff instructions and report technical problems to an invigilator.
Late arrival
Candidates arriving within the first 15 minutes after the start are admitted without extra time. Those arriving later are not admitted; plan to arrive early.
What Happens During the e-Sınav
- An invigilator shows you to your seat.
- Check that the identity details on screen are yours; report a mismatch before starting.
- Check that the screen reflects the language choice your school recorded at least 48 hours before the exam.
- When the exam starts, a 45-minute countdown appears on screen.
- The 50 questions appear one after another, each with four options.
- You can go back over answered questions and change your answer.
- When you finish or time expires, complete the signing steps as instructed. Check the result at the centre kiosk or on the MEB results page after the session ends.
Tip: do not leave anything blank. Because wrong answers do not cancel out correct ones, answering even the questions you are unsure about can only help your score.
Question Distribution in the e-Sınav
The e-Sınav has 50 questions in total: Traffic and Environment (23), First Aid (12), Vehicle Technology (9) and Road Etiquette (6). Each correct answer is worth 2 points and wrong answers do not cancel out correct ones. Questions, Scoring and Practice Resources
The guide specifies 23 Traffic and Environment, 12 First Aid, 9 Vehicle Technology and 6 Traffic Etiquette questions. Scoring uses correct answers and each question carries equal weight.
MEB does not publish the questions or answer key used in a session. Use this site’s practice material to learn the topics and review mistakes; it does not guarantee that the same questions will appear in your exam.
e-Sınav Fee and Payment Channels
In 2026 the driving theory e-Sınav fee is 1.250 TL. It is paid separately for every attempt; if you fail, the same amount is paid again for the retake.

e-Sınav Attempts and Failure
- Every candidate has a total of 4 e-Sınav attempts.
- Arrange a retake through your school; confirm current deadlines, remaining attempts and the available date.
- After four consecutive failures the course file is cancelled.
- Once the file is cancelled you can restart the process by transferring to another driving school.

For an appeal about your result or the questions, follow the payment and e-appeal steps in the guide within five calendar days of publication. Appeals about exam administration are submitted in person by petition to the provincial or district education directorate. Read section 11 of the guide for the current conditions.
e-Sınav Languages and Accessibility

Security Breaches and Their Consequences
Impersonation, attempted cheating, bringing prohibited items into the room or breaking exam rules may invalidate the exam. Staff reports and camera recordings may be used when assessing a breach. Consequences depend on the violation; read section 9 of the current guide.
